Over the course of two weeks, we will learn two techniques of weaving — paper weaving and simple tapestry weaving. In this class, we will build on the techniques of weaving to create mini tapestry weavings with fabric, yarn, threads, paper, and other materials.

Materials for Week 6 — Core Supplies + optional - extra supplies

• We will construct our own loom with cardboard. This will include materials such as:

  • Cardboard
  • Needles — size depending if you will use thread or yarn or fabric
  • Plastic Fork (or comb)
  • Additionally, any yarn, thread, fabric or found materials you would like to incorporate. </aside>

We will stitch on paper, but you might also decide to stitch onto fabric remnants.

• Thread — this could be any type — embroidery floss, cotton thread, or yarn
• Needles — size depending if you will use thread or yarn
• optional* awl

My preference for stitching on thicker watercolor paper from your core supply list.
